KABUL: The Taliban’s National Examinations Authority has commenced the distribution of participant cards and registration of biometric information for the Exit exams of graduates from health science institutes in Kabul at the university gymnasium. This process involves issuing cards to graduates from Kabul’s health science institutes in nursing, physiotherapy, radiology, dental prosthetics, anesthesia, pharmacy, medical technology, and optometry, who had previously completed the registration process as directed by the Ministry of Public Health. The Exit exam for graduates from health science institutes in Kabul is scheduled to take place today, Friday, in the university halls. This occurs during a time when the Taliban maintains restrictions on women’s education, particularly prohibiting girls from attending school and pursuing higher education. Despite approximately two and a half months remaining until the new academic year, there has been no change in the Taliban’s stance regarding girls’ education. Analysts assert that Afghanistan is currently facing a severe shortage of female professionals, particularly in healthcare, and that the continuation of girls’ education is vital for the country’s health system.
