Ariana Afghan Airlines boosts flight capacity

KABUL: Ariana Afghan Airlines has announced the acquisition of two aircraft engines valued at approximately $4.7 million from Turkey and Serbia, which have now been brought to Kabul. According to the airline’s statement, these engines will soon be installed and activated by Ariana’s technical team on Boeing 737 and Airbus A310 aircraft. The sources indicate that the activation of these engines will enhance Ariana’s flight capacity, reduce technical delays and hindrances, and strengthen and organize the schedule for both domestic and international flights. Furthermore, the head of Ariana Afghan Airlines, Mullah Bakht Rehman Sharafat, emphasized that the timely provisioning of aircraft equipment is a crucial step for the safety of passengers, the regular scheduling of flights, and delivering reliable services in national air transport. Ariana Afghan Airlines also mentioned that these engines were brought to Kabul using a charter cargo flight from Turkey as part of efforts to strengthen technical and operational processes.
