Ahmad Shah Durrani’s house opened to tourists after renovation work

KABUL: The Taliban’s Ministry of Information and Culture, has announced that renovation work on Ahmad Shah Durrani’s house in Kandahar has been completed, and this historical site has been opened to tourists. Mawlavi Qudratullah Jamal, Deputy of Tourism Administration and Finance at the ministry, stated that Ahmad Shah Durrani was a great emperor, a pride of Muslims, and a man of great vision. He emphasized that the Ministry of Information and Culture is seriously committed to the preservation and restoration of historical sites, noting that several historical artifacts have been renovated in various provinces, while work continues on others. Meanwhile, the head of the Information and Culture Department in Kandahar mentioned that the first phase of renovations on Ahmad Shah Durrani’s house has been completed, and the second phase will begin soon. It is worth noting that this historical building was renovated at a cost of 17.5 million Afghanis over a period of 17 months by the Ministry of Information and Culture.
