Vice President of Venezuela confirms Maduro’s disappearance

KABUL: Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez has confirmed the disappearance of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, stating that there must be immediate evidence of the president’s and the first lady’s well-being. Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump had announced on social media that American forces conducted an operation in Venezuelan territory on Saturday morning, capturing Maduro and his wife. Meanwhile, Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino declared that the country has come under attack from the U.S., describing it as the biggest aggression Venezuela has faced to date. He emphasized the need for the people and armed forces to unite, asserting that resistance will continue.
