MOSCOW: Russia has reacted to the U.S. attack on Venezuela, stating that the recent action is an armed aggression by the United States. The Russian Foreign Ministry has asserted that the justifications used for this action are baseless. In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that, in the current situation, the most important aspect is to prevent further escalation of violence and to focus on political dialogue to resolve the issue. Russia has insisted that Latin America should remain a zone of peace and that Venezuela must be allowed to determine its own fate without foreign, particularly military, interference. Additionally, Russia has supported the Venezuelan government’s call for an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council regarding the ongoing crisis in the country.
