KABUL: The Afghanistan Cricket Board has expressed deep sympathy for the brothers and sisters affected by the recent earthquake in Kunar and has established a special relief fund during the “A” list competitions to support them. In a post shared on Instagram, the Cricket Board stated: “The Afghanistan Cricket Board stands in deep solidarity with our brothers and sisters affected by the earthquake in Kunar. National and domestic players, who have always brought pride to the nation and stood by their people in difficult times, once again stand alongside their people in times of sorrow.” The Cricket Board added that this special relief fund has been set up so that players, fans, and participants can contribute as they can to help the earthquake-affected brothers and sisters. According to the Board, all collected funds will be handed over to the affected individuals in coordination with responsible authorities. The Cricket Board emphasized in its message: “Cricket is not just a game; it is a symbol of unity, empathy, and humanity. Let us once again show that we stand with our brothers and sisters in their grief.”
