KIYV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that a suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of former Parliament Speaker Andriy Parubiy. Parubiy was shot and killed on a street in Lviv last Tuesday. In a statement last night, Zelensky, without providing further details, mentioned that Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko and the head of Ukraine’s Security Service, Vasyl Maliuk, reported the arrest of a suspect in the case. Zelensky described the murder of the internationally known politician as a “horrific killing,” stating that “all necessary forces and means” would be employed to apprehend the perpetrator. The 54-year-old Andriy Parubiy was a prominent politician and played a significant role in the uprising against the pro-Moscow government during the 2013-14 period known as the Euromaidan Revolution.
