KABUL: The spokesperson for the Taliban has reported that, based on the latest information, the number of fatalities from the earthquake in the provinces of Kunar, Nangarhar, Laghman, and Nuristan has reached 800, with 2,500 others injured. Zabihullah Mujahid in a press conference at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC) stated that these figures are not final and that the number of casualties may increase. He also noted that the majority of the victims are from Kunar province. The Taliban leadership has instructed all agencies to immediately go to the affected areas and utilize all available resources for the burial of the deceased and the treatment of the injured.
