KABUL: China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit China next week. The purpose of their trip appears to be to participate in a military parade celebrating China’s Victory Day, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second Sino-Japanese War. This will be one of China’s largest military events. This will be Kim’s first time attending international ceremonies alongside other world leaders. Notably, leaders from 26 countries have been invited to the event.
