KHOST: Local sources report that on Wednesday, a 15-year-old named “Kawsar” committed suicide in the Roshani village of the Tanai district in Khost province. The specific reason for this tragic act has not yet been disclosed. This incident occurs amidst reports from the Khost provincial hospital indicating nearly 50 suicide cases recorded in the past month, highlighting a significant rise in such incidents in the province. Local officials and residents of Khost have expressed their concerns over the increase in violent crimes, including suicides, armed robberies, mysterious killings, and child abductions. Since the Taliban regained control over many provinces, this alarming trend has emerged, but media reporting on these events has become limited.
