KHOST: Sources from the civilian hospital in Khost have reported that 43 suicide attempts have been recorded in the province over the past 14 days. The sources indicated that the incidents have various causes, but most are attributed to economic difficulties, unemployment, and psychological pressures. Some individuals from these 43 recorded cases have been saved by doctors. Additionally, reports suggest that the Taliban government has imposed a ban on the media coverage of suicide incidents and public funeral ceremonies in the province. It is noteworthy that recently there has been an increase in incidents of suicide, theft, and child abduction within the country, and the Taliban government has struggled to address these issues effectively.
