Tamim-ul-Rahman Rahmani wins silver medal at International Taekwondo Championships

KABUL: The Taekwondo Federation of Afghanistan has announced that national team member Tamim-ul-Rahman Rahmani defeated three opponents to secure a silver medal at the international taekwondo open championships. According to the federation’s Facebook page, Rahmani competed in the 48 kg weight category, defeating rivals from Kazakhstan and the UAE to achieve this honor and finish in second place. The international open taekwondo championships began on August 14 in Kazakhstan and concluded yesterday, with 13 athletes from Afghanistan participating in the youth and adult categories. Additionally, another member of the national taekwondo team, Hamkatullah Zain, also performed well, defeating opponents from Saudi Arabia and Kyrgyzstan to win a bronze medal.
