Taliban’s police district head arrested for illicit relationship in Badakhshan

BADAKHSHAN: Local sources in Badakhshan province report that Shadab Raghai, the head of the 5th police district in Faizabad, has been arrested on charges of having an illicit relationship with a girl. According to sources, he was apprehended on Tuesday, while attempting to flee toward Takhar province and is currently detained in the Taliban’s security command in Faizabad. Sources indicate that he is a member of the Taliban’s special forces and that the relationship took place in the sixth district of Faizabad. Previously, a video surfaced on social media showing a Taliban member conversing with a woman who was sending him her location. This incident comes amid reports over the past four years of several images and videos involving Taliban commanders and fighters engaging in immoral behavior circulating on social media.
