ANKARA: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has stated that they will soon hold a victory prayer in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque. He expressed, “The streets that have been saddened by our absence, and we too are saddened by their separation, we will soon reunite with them.” At the same time, former Israeli intelligence officer Herzog Musi has confirmed Erdoğan’s statements, saying, “Erdoğan speaks the truth. If his militias maintain control in Syria peacefully for just five years, there will be no geography left in the world under the name of Israel.” Experts view Erdoğan’s remarks as a promotional effort to expand Turkey’s influence in the region.
