Sulaiman Rahal released from Taliban prison GHAZNI: Sulaiman Rahal, editor-in-chief of Khushhal Radio in Ghazni, has been released after approximately three months in prison. A local source reported to the Afghan Journalists Center that Rahal was freed a few days ago. He was arrested by Taliban intelligence on May 5 of this year and was imprisoned for three months on charges of “propaganda against the Taliban government.” The Afghan Journalists Center has called on the Taliban to release several other detained journalists. The Journalists’ Defense Foundation has stated that around ten journalists are currently enduring difficult conditions in Taliban prisons.
