KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump described the ongoing situation in Gaza as tense and concerning, accusing Hamas of stealing supplies intended for the region. So far, Hamas has not responded to Trump’s allegations. Trump told reporters at the White House, “I want to ensure that aid reaches the residents of Gaza.” He stated that the U.S. had allocated $60 million in aid to Gaza residents two weeks ago, adding that “there has been no visible result from this assistance.” The remarks came just hours before the visit of Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, who is set to discuss a plan for the distribution of aid and other issues with Israeli officials. Meanwhile, sources have reported to international media that Israeli forces have positioned tanks and military equipment near humanitarian aid distribution centers in central and southern Gaza.
