KABUL: In response to the widespread hunger and the deaths of dozens of individuals in Gaza, humanitarian aid convoys have started their journey from Egypt toward the region. This comes after international organizations have warned about the escalating famine in Gaza for several months. Additionally, the Israeli military announced in a statement that air deliveries of aid to Gaza began yesterday. The statement emphasized the need for secure corridors for the transport of aid convoys and the establishment of humanitarian aid distribution points in densely populated areas. The step is taking place amid stalled negotiations between Israel and Hamas in Doha, which have not yielded any results. The Israeli military’s statement noted that the air drops of aid packages to Gaza have commenced, including flour, sugar, and other food supplies.
