KABUL: The Taliban has officially protested against Pakistan’s obstruction of Afghan exports to India. Pakistani media reported that a high-level delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Taliban held detailed discussions with Pakistani officials during a recent visit. According to government sources in Pakistan, the Taliban delegation indicated that since May of this year, Pakistan has not allowed Afghan commercial goods to be exported to India via the Wagah border. They argued that this action contradicts the 2010 Afghanistan-Pakistan transit trade agreement. Afghan traders have stated that the obstacles created by Pakistan for exports through the Wagah border have caused them significant losses.
