KABUL: Hafiz Amir Mohammad Muttaqi, the head of the Taliban’s Industry and Commerce Department in Balkh, announced that for the first time, 50 tons of fish seed have been exported from the province to Tajikistan.
He stated that this quantity of fish seed was transported to Tajikistan by a private company after being properly packaged, which could pave the way for expanding regional markets for the country’s domestic products.
Imamuddin Sanayi Zada, the president of the Balkh Chamber of Industries and Mines, welcomed this initiative as a positive step towards boosting domestic production.
Mohammad Afzal Afzali, an official from Mofid Group in Balkh, mentioned that the company has successfully exported 50 tons of fish feed and aims to increase the export volume to 2,000 tons within the current year.
In recent years, Balkh Province has seen significant growth in its domestic industries, and efforts to expand the export of local products to neighboring countries and beyond continue.
Additionally, a shipment of cleaning materials was recently exported from Balkh to the United Kingdom.
