Armed attacks leaves five soldiers dead, eight wounded in Balochistan, Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: At least five soldiers were killed and eight others injured following armed individual’s attack in Balochistan, Pakistan, local media reported on Wednesday night. According to the report, the first attack took place in the Kabo Splinji area, part of the Mastung district, while the second attack occurred near a police post in the Liyos Guljan area of the same district. The Balochistan Security sources confirmed that the first attack was carried out by armed assailants, while the second involved an improvised explosive device (IED). Although no group has claimed responsibility for these attacks yet, local media reports suggest that Baloch separatists may be behind them. Attacks on Pakistani military forces have recently increased in the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
