Explosion at “Karkar” coal mine in Baghlan claims lives of six workers

PUL-E-KHUMRI: Local Taliban officials have confirmed a deadly explosion at the “Karkar” coal mine in Baghlan province, resulting in the deaths of six individuals and injuring 12 others. Mawlavi Abdullah, the head of the mine, stated in an interview that the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon. According to him, the injured have been transported to the hospital for treatment. The cause and details of the explosion have not yet been determined. In recent years, the excessive and improper extraction of mines in Afghanistan has repeatedly led to the loss of workers’ lives.
