TEHRAN: The President of Iran has recently emphasized that the country has no plans to develop an atomic bomb, despite widespread propaganda suggesting that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons. Masoud Pezeshkian criticized Persian-language media outside the country, stating, “I can’t tolerate hearing their words.” He added, “Why, when you claimed that Iran intended to build a bomb, did you target civilians in your attacks? The claim about building an atomic bomb is a lie, and we are not constructing any atomic bombs.” The Iranian government spokesperson on Tuesday announced that the death toll from the twelve-day conflict with Israel has reached 1,062. Official Iranian sources indicate that most of the casualties are civilians, including women and children.
