MOSCOW: Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Kremlin, announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Ali Larijani, senior advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran, on Sunday. According to Reuters, the discussion focused on escalating tensions in the Middle East and Iran’s nuclear program. Peskov emphasized that Putin reiterated Russia’s support for regional stability and the necessity of achieving a political solution regarding Iran’s nuclear issue. He added that Larijani conveyed the Islamic Republic’s assessment of the tense regional situation to the Russian President.
