RIYADH: The Saudi Royal Court announced that Prince Al-Waleed bin Khalid bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, known as the “Sleeping Prince,” has passed away at the age of 35 after approximately 20 years in a coma. Prince Alwaleed fell into a complete coma in 2005 due to a severe traffic accident while studying at a military university in London. He received specialized care throughout these years. Despite a diagnosis of brain death, his family—especially his father, Khalid bin Talal—never permitted life support to be withdrawn. Over the years, some videos were released showing him with limited ability to move his hands or head.
