WASHINGTON: The White House has announced that Donald Trump, the President of the United States, is experiencing a medical condition in his legs that causes swelling and bruising. Caroline Levitt, White House spokesperson, stated that in recent days, Trump had been suffering from swelling in his legs and bruising on his hands. As a result, the White House medical team conducted an examination. Following the assessment, it was determined that Mr. Trump is experiencing a form of “chronic venous insufficiency.” In this condition, blood does not flow properly in the veins of the legs, leading to blood pooling, which causes swelling and sometimes pain or bruising. The examination included an ultrasound of the leg veins and other thorough assessments. Doctors have noted that this condition is not dangerous, is common in individuals over 70, and is treatable. Trump is currently 79 years old. The White House spokesperson emphasized that this issue has not caused serious discomfort for the President, and his overall health status is good. Regarding the bruising on Trump’s hands, it has been attributed to frequent handshakes and the use of medications like aspirin. Additionally, Trump’s cardiac examinations have indicated that his heart is healthy and no other issues have been found. The President’s personal doctor stated in a letter that all test results are within normal ranges and there are no concerns.
