KABUL: A political consultative meeting was held in Kabul among the foreign ministers of Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and Pakistan. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations, regional stability, economic connectivity, and expanding trade. Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, acting Foreign Minister of the Taliban, stated that the Afghan-Trans project could enhance regional connectivity and address the common interests of the three countries. He added that shared interests come with shared responsibilities, which can only be achieved through sincere and lasting cooperation. The foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Pakistan expressed their support for stability, economic development, and regional connectivity projects in Afghanistan, calling for Afghanistan to play a central role as a bridge connecting the region. They noted that the current stability in Afghanistan could pave the way for securing mutual interests for both Afghanistan and the region.
