DAMASCUS: International media reports indicate that 30 people have been killed and over 100 injured in clashes between armed forces and military groups in the Suwayda province of Syria.

Al Jazeera, citing the Syrian Ministry of Interior, reported that the ministry will intervene directly to end the fighting.

According to reports, various armed groups still exist in many areas of Syria, leading to such violent incidents due to ongoing conflicts among them.

A few months ago, the Tahrir al-Sham group overthrew Bashar al-Assad’s regime, and the current leadership, under Ahmad al-Sharaa, has taken control of the Syrian interim government.

It is noted that after assuming power, Ahmad al-Sharaa met with the U.S. President in Saudi Arabia during his foreign visits, and all U.S. sanctions against them were lifted.

Reports indicate that various armed groups are still active in many border areas of Syria, and the government has initiated measures to eliminate them.
