NEW DELHI: According to a report by a research body investigatin aviation accidents, the primary cause of last month’s crash of an Air India passenger plane was a disruption in fuel flow to the aircraft’s engines.

The plane, which was en route from Ahmedabad, India, to London, suffered an incident that resulted in the deaths of all 260 occupants, marking it as the deadliest aviation disaster in the world in the past decade.

The accident investigation project, conducted in collaboration with aviation and technical authorities, confirmed that both engines of the aircraft failed due to the sudden interruption of fuel supply. Investigations are still in the preliminary stages, but a technical malfunction in the fuel delivery system is being considered as the main factor.

So far, Air India officials and Indian authorities have not provided a detailed official response but have promised to fully cooperate with the families of the victims and to announce the final results of the investigation soon.
