Taliban’s provincial Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock Department of Khost stated that wheat was cultivated on 18
3,595 acres of land in
which produced 50,698 tons of wheat showing a 12% increase compared to last year.
According to the department, 19,200 modified seeds and chemical fertilizers were distributed to the farmers which is called the main reasons behind the increase in wheat production in Khost.
A farmer in the Alisher district said that this year’s cultivation was good.
He added that if moditied seeds are distributed to farmers wheat production will increase.
