KABUL: A young Afghan footballer named Lmar Katwazai residing in Australia, has been invited to continue his training at the prestigious Barcelona academy in Spain.
He is scheduled to participate in a training camp at the “Barcelona Academy Clinic” in November 2025.
The training program will be overseen by coaches from Barcelona’s central academy, providing him with an opportunity to showcase his skills.
He shared his official invitation on his Instagram page, and the news has been widely celebrated.
Reports indicate that this is the first time an Afghan footballer has been invited to Barcelona’s central academy.
The academy, known for training stars like Lionel Messi, is famous worldwide for its advanced and professional training programs.
The purpose of Lmar Katwazai’s invitation is to assess his skills during the clinical training sessions, and the results of these exercises will determine his future path within the academy.
