ISLAMABAD: Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, spokesman for the Pakistan Army, announced today, that the country’s air defense forces successfully shot down 12 Indian drones across various locations in Pakistan.
Chaudhry stated that these drones were primarily surveillance drones, with some potentially having offensive capabilities.
The drones were identified and destroyed in cities including Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Karachi, Chhor, Rawalpindi, and Attock.
The spokesman emphasized that Pakistan’s defense systems, including the HQ-9BP system, accurately identified and neutralized these drones.
He also described India’s actions as a “clear violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty” and asserted that the Pakistan Army is prepared to respond at the appropriate time and place.
